We are proud to once again announce that our development team at Rock Solid Knowledge was awarded Umbraco Contributing Partner status, one of a select number of Gold Partners to achieve the award for the fourth time.
As a company, we are always proud to encourage our employees to get involved in the Umbraco community. Our employees have been encouraged to attend Umbraco meetups and conferences, such as Codegarden, Umbraco Spark, and CODECABIN. This year we sent some developers to Umbraco Spark who were first time conference goers, and new to Umbraco. We are told that they all had a great time, and left feeling more innovated than ever!
We actively encourage our employees to consider speaking and putting forward talks for these events - watch this space in case some of our new Umbraco employees do some talks soon (like we have in previous years).
In addition, we are keen to enable our employees to give back to the Umbraco community. In the last 12 months, Karl Tynan has continued to be a co-organiser for umBristol, the local Umbraco meetup in Bristol, and has been allowed time during working hours to help facilitate umBristol events. He is also an assistant organiser for CODECABIN, which takes quite a lot of planning during working hours.
Emma Garland continues to be a member of the Umbraco Core Collaborators team, helping to review and merge Umbraco community PRs and more.
Rock Solid Knowledge have always enabled and encouraged these sort of contributions, which makes it much easier for our employees get involved with the Umbraco community.
In the coming months, Emma will be on maternity leave but still hopes to continue contributing to Umbraco (when time allows)! And Karl will continue with his community involvement.
With new employees joining our Umbraco team and more Umbraco projects launching than ever, this is a very exciting year for Rock Solid Knowledge and Umbraco, and we hope to be able to give back to the community even more!
